The Idea Camp – Mark Horvath & Shannon Moriarty Talk About Homelessness

Jokingly I said to Charles Lee that I’d drive to The Idea Camp and help tell the homeless story along the way. Yup, nearly 6k miles later this is the midway point of the road trip

Shannon is a huge help behind the scenes with Invisiblepeople.tv. We have worked together for close to a year now, however, this event is the very first time Shannon and I meet in person. I think the world of her and I am so very grateful for her help and our friendship.

I reference a woman I met under a bridge in Atlanta that changed me. You can watch her story here.

  • This was a very engaging and helpful interview - especially where you gave me a profound realization . . . that every time people get free food, they get preached at, and they probably know the Bible better than your senior paster. Interesting.

Regarding awareness, however, I know you hate the word, and it's tough to argue semantics, but I think there are always more people who could potentially be educated about the topic (myself being one of them), and you never know that a few of them might learn something new and be in a position to help.
  • Hey Mark,
Our team that attended the Idea Camp in VA would like to do something for padschicago. Want to talk to you bout that. How can we connect?
    Blessings,
    Dave
