Never say never!

When I drove from LA to Ohio 5 years ago I said I would never make that drive again. At least this time I was going in the right direction! More on this when I catch my breath.

I said I would never Twitter yet my new boss does and even though I am responsible for my own actions I found myself playing along after checking in on my own interview process. I have read all kinds of reasons for doing it. For me it was when Holy Cow twittered about me blogging again and traffic to this blog jumped. I then took it serious. I wonder about future effects on society as we all cut out words to fit our communications within a 140 character limit and the complete lack of real emotion. Or, how easy it is to not be honest with someone. Matthew 18:15 via tweets just does not seem to be a healthy solution as interactive face to face communication is always best.

I said I would never wear a goofy cell phone bluetooth headset yet it is now the law in California with a $75 first offence. Besides needing to not spend any money I didn’t want LAPD to be running my digits just yet so I am sporting one. It looks dumb and not only do they work like crap it stinking hurts my ear! What gets me is wearing a bluetooth headset does not make driving safer. You still have to dial the phone which takes your eyes off the road and the dumb thing keeps falling off my ear causing me (and I am sure others) to go scrambling to find it. Someone please talk to Arnold. This is really a dumb law!

I even now have a MacBook Pro. :)

What are yours?

Right now I’m getting settled in so posts will be a little intermittent. I had lots of time to think during the drive so some good ones are coming.
